The Secret Life of The American Teenager

I got bored during the afternoon after I came home from church. I should have just hit the books or practice my piano or something studious. Instead, I browsed for a TV series.

The Secret Life of The American Teenager, the title explains it all. This TV series revolves around the life of American teenagers. Well, adolescents are just beings trying to find who they truly are. Due to a lot of curiosity, they ended up experimenting lots of things. Moreover, based on the few first episodes I have just watched, I found that male teenagers are eager to have sex. They think doing it is the new big thing.

Anyway, the episodes of this ABC family original series has a 40+ minutes duration. In my opinion, it's actually pretty interesting. Not to mention that at every end of the episode I would get this tingling feeling of having the urge to watch more and more. There are some touching parts too. Oh yeah, speaking about the life of teenagers, there are some betrayals too in this film, which actually annoyed me, and I feel completely irritated.

Happy Sunday, all :) God bless :)
ps: I have gone through the most heart-throbbing moment of my life having to play the keyboard in front a room full of Sunday school teachers. I usually play in front of little kids. This time was different. And I was literally having cold sweat due to the fact that after long hours of practicing on the piano, I was provided with a keyboard. On top of it all, the keyboard doesn't have a pedal. Luckily, a senior came by and helped to adjust the keyboard setting to have a string-y dual sound effect, so that the sound I produced didn't sound too detached. But all good things came to an end, and I did pretty okay for a noob. LOL.

Bridesmaids

I have watched Bridesmaids for like the second time already. It was on HBO last night.

Bridesmaids is about a story about the competition of the maid of honor with one of the bridesmaids of being the bride's best friend. Together they encountered lots of incidents that might ruin the wedding. But all in all, the wedding was under controlled.

This movie was a romantic comedy. There was some vulgar scenes too. Not to mention that I was watching this movie with my mom. And it was really awkward to watch those scenes with her. Although, I didn't like those types of scenes myself, my mom kept on nagging me why I was watching that vulgar movie. I closed both of my eyes and ears okay! I find those scenes really disgusting. ewwww

Anyway, the movie is really funny! hahaha.. watch the trailer:

Another thing, I'm in love with one of the soundtracks entitled "Paper Bag" by Fiona Apple. The lyrics are down below.

I was staring at the sky, just looking for a star
To pray on, or wish on, or something like that
I was having a sweet fix of a daydream of a boy
Whose reality I knew, was a hopeless to be had
But then the dove of hope began its downward slope
And I believed for a moment that my chances
Were approaching to be grabbed
But as it came down near, so did a weary tear
I thought it was a bird, but it was just a paper bag

Hunger hurts, and I want him so bad, oh it kills
'Cause I know I'm a mess he don't wanna clean up
I got to fold 'cause these hands are too shaky to hold
Hunger hurts, but starving works, when it costs too much to love

And I went crazy again today, looking for a strand to climb
Looking for a little hope
Baby said he couldn't stay, wouldn't put his lips to mine,
And a fail to kiss is a fail to cope
I said, 'Honey, I don't feel so good, don't feel justified
Come on put a little love here in my void,' he said
'It's all in your head,' and I said, 'So's everything'
But he didn't get it I thought he was a man
But he was just a little boy

Hunger hurts, and I want him so bad, oh it kills
'Cause I know I'm a mess he don't wanna clean up
I got to fold 'cause these hands are too shaky to hold
Hunger hurts, but starving works, when it costs too much to love

Hunger hurts, but I want him so bad, oh it kills
'Cause I know I'm a mess he don't wanna clean up
I got to fold 'cause these hands are too shaky to hold
Hunger hurts, but starving works, when it costs too much to love

Hunger hurts, but I want him so bad, oh it kills
Because I know that I'm a mess that he don't wanna clean up
I got to fold because these hands are just too shaky to hold
Hunger hurts, but starving, it works, when it costs too much to love

Bonchon

I had a day out with Willdy today to GI. Despite all the hurdles we've been through over the weeks of not being able to stroll out, we've finally hung out! The plan was that we would watch Ted as soon as we have arrived there, but then my mom strictly told me to go home at 3. I have arrived there at about half past 2, and Willdy and her siblings arrived there 15 minutes later. Therefore, we only had about less than one and a half hours to stroll around and eat something new!

First off, we stopped at Chatime! I bought a match pudding milk tea. While, Willdy, Wendy and Winson, all bought green tea latte with grass jelly! The weird thing was that our bubble teas' color was brown-caramel-ish rather than being green! AWKWARD.

After grabbing our bubble teas, we stopped by at Bonchon! A Korean fast food restaurant! It serves fried chicken, burgers, french fries, mochi ice cream.

these are the food Willdy, Wendy and Winson ordered

those are my 12 pieces of chicken! cost: Rp.15k
What was surprising to me about this Korean fast food restaurant was that all the menus there are a bit of mini-sized for me different from most of the fast food restaurants available in Indonesia.

lol.. sorry wendy.. this is priceless.
cute fork!
We talked a lot. And basically, we spent most of the time there talking! It was really fun though.

Winson eating burger.
I should have taken lots of pictures but then again we were so busy talking. HAHA.. I really wish I could bond better with Winson. He seemed really quiet. But, I'm guessing that's just because it was the first time we have met and he doesn't know me that well. Not to mention, different genders. Due to a lot of observation, I believe, people with different genders take more time to get along.

Willdy and me
Anyway, it was really hard taking Wendy and Winson's photo together. After lots of tries, finally got it! yeyeyeyeyey
LOL

Winson and Wendy! Like finally
So, it was 3, and I have to go home. I bid them goodbye. :) Had so much fun despite the very fact that we only spent lest than 90 minutes together.

Vintage Floral Nails

Instead of joining for Sports Day, I went home and gave myself a Vintage Floral nails! YEY.. At first I was about to do myself a Rainbow Marble nails. The tutorial was really easy to watch but when it comes to doing the real thing, I kept on failing and failing.

Rainbow Nail Tutorial

Anyway, I spent about 2 to 3 hours doing this nail art. LOL. I'm pretty satisfied though.

Later in the evening, Helen baked a chocolate cupcake. It tasted good but the cupcake does rise all through the brim of the cupcake paper. Helen said she didn't put baking soda in it, hence explained the situation. Moreover, she said that we were running out of baking soda at home

Definitely, Maybe

I have done my presentation about Domestic Violence and I feel absolutely relieved ! I'm free from the presentation! yeyey. To celebrate, I awarded myself to watch a Romantic Comedy, Definitely, Maybe.
Definitely, Maybe tells a story about a young man named William Hayes and his daughter, Maya. Maya was depressed to know that her parents were getting a divorce. Due to this she requested her dad to tell her everything about her dad's past relationship which also involved with Maya's mom. William agreed on a condition in which he would use different names and let Maya to guess herself who her mother was from his stories.

This movie lasted for 2 hours. Frankly, I was a bit bored during the movie. The story was a bit confusing too. On the other hand, I would have never guessed who the mother was in the first place. It was surprising.

Sheila's Sweet Seventeen (22.9.12)

Finally, after hours and hours of uploading pictures, I can at last start writing about last night's dinner. Sheila invited us (me, Wii, Ci Lis, Clare, Nov, Kashish, Joti and Ricco) to celebrate her once in a lifetime 17th birthday party! The venue was at Sun City room 83. The theme was to use anything with bows or ties. Unfortunately, the guys disobeyed the theme rule of using ties. LOL.

When I entered the room, I could see Sheila dressed so pink-y! She looked like a Barbie Doll! As I sat down, Sheila requested me to write something on her Guest Book. I'm the first to write! It's an HONOR!

Sheila, the birthday girl
Next, Sheila wanted to take photos with us. She said that she was going to print out the photos and glued them beside our respective message in her Guest Book. That is a super cute idea to cherish the moment for a lifetime.

Notice the bow bands on top of our Asian black hair? Yes, we use that to enlighten the ribbons theme! :)
So sorry for not warning this sooner but this post is going to be a lengthy one, so don't tire yourself out! Keep reading!

The thing that looked like a spine right there was my camera strap. LOL.

It was a real shame that I am a shorty. I was struggling to not look the shortest. However, I failed. --" By the way, I was standing on my toes! Literally!!! No effect at all right?

Novita and Ci Lisda

My mint green tea and chinese tea
The mint green tea smells like a liquid used to clean floors (We have a brand called Superpell in Indonesia). On the contrary, the taste was really quenching. There was a minty flavor and a boost of super sweet aftertaste. It was really good. But one tip, you should definitely drink it while it was hot. Because when it turns cold, that mint green tea becomes absolutely cold due to the fact that there is the minty essence inside it!!!

Sheila with Kashish

That was Clarein's drink.
While we were chitter-chattering, the appetizer had arrived.
