1 more month until 2018 ends

view across AIT
There was a fire in the AC vent today causing a horrible burnt smell in the office. Everyone had to evacuate and moved to AIT. I received a text message from my boss that it's best if we can work from home. So we did!

I am panicking at the moment. Only 1 more week till my first CA exam. It's super hard. :(
Praying that I can keep on preserving in studying and learning and finish what I started.

Today is a good day

I am in a middle of preparing for my first quiz of Taxation. It's 20 minutes pass midnight, but I just wanted to share what happened today.
I had a good day today. It has been a while since I had a good day at work. This is probably my first GOOD day since I started. Everything went well, I did my tasks, I even bonded with so many colleagues which I don't get so much opportunity on. I really miss mingling but with the desk job that I have, it's so rare to have long conversations.
We bid a colleague farewell today and it was the most impromptu plan out ever.

This week's tune is revolving on Red Velvet "Would you"
It's a very sweet tune, I have no idea what it means but it's nice. I am trying to play the piano! Hopefully I can memorise the positions of the keys by watching these videos a number of time. Haha. OKAY! Back to study!

Bless the rains down in AFRI..USTRALIA

Hi again. It has been a while since my last post. I am coming to my 5th month working as an Assistant Accountant. Time really passed super fast. It is 3 more weeks till my last day of my professional year. I will begin my internship (which is my normal work at my current job) before completing my whole professional year program to getting 5 points closer to permanent residentship in Australia. It sure is tough to reside in the land down under. I am beginning my Chartered Accountant program too, starting on Monday 10th September. My book has not arrived yet due to an unexpected event with their binding production and so it has not been delivered.

The weather in Sydney has been wet these days. There was hail tonight just before bible study. Been incredibly blessed that I was given the opportunity to still study in Sydney while working. Praying that everything will go well. I am actually worried and excited to learn it, people say it's challenging but I hope it's alright.

Till next time!

BRACESS OFF

22.03.2018, ETA 11:15am 👄

  • Marks the day that I got my braces off! No more metal smile, prison bars, food getting stuck and no more wire poking.
Here comes vietnamese banhmi roll and chewing gum!

What a delightful adventure since midyear 2016! Both highlights and lowlights involved. Lowlights would be the slightest movement of the teeth and the pain during the first couple of months. I could remember myself massaging my gum with my finger every night and taking panadol just so that I could sleep. I was possibly the most sensitive patient that experienced intriguing pain, while others don't.
But thankfully, there is this laser machine that Dr Sarah (ps, amazing dentist, super gentle and caring) used on me a couple of times and definitely helped with the pain.
This laser machine looks like something out of #tronlegacy #fancyofcourse

Anyways, back to - Highlights, most importantly being able to see obvious changes in the mirror and witness the movement. I mean I could really notice my Spongebob Squarepants gap being closed slowly and gapless for the first time in ages, that itself, has been mindblowing.
Extremely glad that I was able to do this since I have been dreaming and needless to say I actually prayed having gapless teeth every night (no joke)

During the treatment, Dr Sarah taught me how to brush properly before bonding the fixed retainer behind the back of my teeth. Very important step because without proper brushing, esp with the retainer now, brushing may be even more challenging. Plaque disclosing solution is applied first to check any plaques.

  • Then after I have nailed it, the process started! I relaxed and listened to the conversation between Judy (Dental nurse) and Dr Sarah. And then she played me Dirk Gently on netflix. Pretty good stuff, I am hooked, just trying to figure out a time to start the series. Probably just after I finish watching Fresh off the boat.

  • The debonding of the brackets are filled with crackling noises which are quite horrific but at the same time very satisfying with each cracks of freedom. My teeth were then polished to remove all the remaining glue. And the occlusal stops were then polished so I could close my teeth properly.

After that, I just could not stop smiling and licking my teeth as they feel so slimy and sleek at the same time. I could not believe my teeth were very white as well when I looked at the mirror. The only thing i was concerned was my swollen gums near my upper canines. I really need to brush them and floss them well. Hopefully they can return back to its normal size.

Rachel helped me with taking the impression for the top and bottom set of my retainers. I felt like I was going to vomit when the first upper set was made. Fortunately, nothing was hurled out.
i just had to pick up the retainers on the next day! Woohoo, very exciting.

I was super energized that day. I just could not stop smiling all the way.

Job Hunting

It's the second day of Autumn here in Sydney! February went by swiftly indeed with just 28 days this year. A couple of updates: by God's grace, I have passed my PTE and PTC exams! PTE: english test, while PTC is the online preliminary theological course that I took online over the summer.

I am also in a middle of finding an accounting job. There has been a lot of changes lately. I know that for now I am clinging on to my interdependence to God. I don't know what is going to happen. Whether there will be a job that is going to knock on my door, or would deportation be knocking the very next minute, I am totally surrendering my faith and future in God.

At this point of my life, I realise that stepping out of my comfort zone takes sacrifices. Evolving and pursuing another career path has not been easy. Applications after applications, but still 0 interview. Praying that March will be more productive.

Australia DAY

Happy Australia DAY! It's the 26th of Jan, and it is a public holiday here. I spent my day very "productively" today. The air quotes reveal how unproductive it is. I was planning to spend the whole day studying for PTE, but how wrong can I get. In the end, I only spent 2 hours of PTE before writing this blog.

I woke up at 10:30am in the morning on the couch! I was watching a scientology movie documentary last night and thought that I would learn something interesting, but unfortunately, as soon as the lights were off, my eyes went completely shut too. I spent the remaining of the days, doing laundry, organising a bit of the living room section, cooking, watching 2 episodes of THE OFFICE. How I love that tv show, I have never completed it. Maybe I should. And lastly, I have backed up all my 300GB-worth of photos to a harddisk! FINALLY.

There was a crime scene happening near my neighborhood. All I noticed was a very noisy helicopter flying near us causing so much noise. Apparently there was a herd of police officers as well. I don't know whether they are called herd collectively.

Haguruman Style

Look at this amazing Dr Barber from Flapjack! I love this cartoon network show, it is both eerie and funny at the same time. The artwork has a lot of intricate details. Anyway, Dr Barber aside,
I stumbled something ridiculously adorable online today. There is actually a Sanrio Character about teeth! You know that there are not a lot of dental-related things on tv!

This thrilled me so much after knowing about Haguruman Style, a character from Sanrio! It's the less popular version of gudetama. See the video below! The other 2 videos below that are just other videos that I saw on youtube. I wish I could understand them!

2018

The first month of the year can be the most motivating month throughout the whole year. I would like to start of on how terrible I have been trying to commit in writing blogs, but failing endlessly. Look at the blank threads I made in 2017. Amazing! I would like to recap on what happened in that year. My 2017 diary was practically filled with a lot of activities! Unfortunately, this grey diary of mine is misplaced so I could not track back and write in a congruent way.

Anyway, I am currently in the middle of studying for my PTE (english test) that is coming up soon on the 11th of Feb. I was a little bit bored in listening to the youtube practice questions and decided to blog. Maybe this way, I would be able to brush up my writing skills too. Even though, all this rambles are just too casual and not very formal like.

I decided to pause my PTE academic practice videos and decided to play some music instead. Playing tunes from the Greatest Showman original soundtrack. I would say that the music is very catchy and costumes were invigorating. Although on the downside, the storyline was not very interesting at all. Typical rags to riches story with a twist of bad business at the climax leading the main character for a self-realisation that money is not the point.

A couple of minutes passed without any words..I was distracted with my phone when I decided to insert a picture I took this year. Apparently, I did not have any worthwhile photo on my phone. I may not attach any photo on this post. Speaking of phones, my S5 is extremely without exaggeration the slowest. I am contemplating of whether to buy a new phone or not. At the same time, my laptop is starting to hit rock bottom as well. My expenditure would boost through the roof. I suggest myself to wait till my phone breaks and my laptop died. I still have not backed up both. WHATEVER WILL HAPPEN.

🍒  --> Is this an emoji?!
Blogger has a new feature! I LOVE IT! I guess this post would not be so boring after all. I will insert more EMOJIS! Why are there no FLOWER emojis when you need them.

🍔 🍔 ttyl :)
