Aunt Currie's Wedding

I have just arrived home from the party that I attended. Aunt Currie is a distant cousin from my mom's family.

There was a teppai early in the morning too. We came there after church. Teppai is a ritual in which the bride and groom are given hongbao-s by both family sides for blessings. And in return the bride and groom offer the family with tea and some cake.

Later on, in the evening, there was a Wedding Reception at Hotel Mulia.

Check out the photos below!

At first I was super worried that I might not be able to stand properly using a very high wedges while eating prasmanan (Indonesians will know this term). To my good luck, there was seats available in the family side dining area. So lucky!

sushi
It was rare for me to encounter sushi in a wedding like this. So in order not to miss this golden opportunity, I took a lot of sushi and sashimi on one large plate. I am going to share it with my sisters though. I will never going to finish it by myself. I still need to save up space for other food too you know.

macaroons
Cim took a lot of macaroons too. Usually at weddings where they serve macaroons, these little treats will be finished in no time at all.

The Not-So-Great Flood

I woke up today after hearing Helen screaming "Banjir" (Flood) out loud! And that was around 8:30-ish I guess. I knew that it was raining heavily continuously but I would have never imagined that there was flood everywhere.

The kitchen was filled with water. We cooked in a stove used to make shabu-shabu. And for breakfast I ate Vivi's lunch for school. Apparently both of my sisters skipped school due to the flood. Cim is still in my aunt's house.

Since I woke up really late, I didn't help in saving the furniture from being soaked in water. But, I did help sweeping the water with a special kind of broom I guess. Idk what it's called in English but it's called as serokan in Indonesian.

Thankfully, my graduation is over, and on top of that, our electricity is still running! Or else we would be awfully bored. I'm still waiting for the water surrounding our house to evaporate in order for me to tidy up things again.

my backyard. looks just like the Yellow River. due to its dirtiness
I spent the day drawing and coloring to wait for the rain to stop. However, the rain hasn't stopped yet. It's still trickling right now. On the bright side, the flood level has decreased now.

so stiff
I am pretty disappointed of my touch times having to clean the rooms last time as now all are in a terrible shape right now. It's a calamity actually. :(

Graduation day

The day I have been earnestly waiting for, My Graduation Day at Uniprep, has finally come and now I am over it! Over it in particular is that I have just come home from the graduation dinner celebration.

Let me start on my activities right from the beginning of the day. I continued myself pimping my tumblr once more. It's not finished yet. But this is what I got so far. It's pretty hard for me to edit with html code. I am such a noob. Moreover, I am too lazy to read the long html code carefully.

my sidebar button

Frankly, I am loving my new sidebar buttons. You can visit my tumblr Click Here.

Then at noon, my photoshop teacher, Ci Sanny, came. And I started my lesson of creating a caricature of Angelina Jolie. It was really hard! :( I hope I could be better soon! Because I have always wanted to be able to create stuffs like this! It's awesome!

Ci Sanny helped enlarging Jolie's lips
You might want to zoom in to see the difference.

In the evening, mom and I went to the Graduation thingy which was at Graha Niaga, at the left side of Uniprep.

The Goodie Bag consists of the schedule of the whole event which I had thrown away. oops. A passport cover, a CD containing photos of students and a list of all the graduates graduating in 2012 of all UNSW Foundation Year Institutes.

I am not brave enough to open the CD and see the pictures myself. As I'm a 100 percent sure I would look completely terrible. So no beans for you. HAHA. Cause this Lucy ain't spilling.

The Vampire Diaries

Once again, this will be another post of me babbling about the TV series I'm currently watching. And as much as I am hating to say this but I am obsessed with vampire stories. I am not that big of a fan of Twilight either. However, The Vampire Diaries is a whole completely different love story unlike Twilight.

The Vampire Diaries is another romantic, mystery, thriller, teenage drama that always has that cliffhanger at the end of every episode. It is about a love triangle of two vampire Salvatore brothers for Elena, the death ringer of their lost love past, Kathrine.

This TV series is still ongoing. There is up to season 4 so far. I have been waiting for Elena to end up with Damon, the evil brother. KYAA.

Ci Elaine's Wedding Day

pupFound this adorable gif online. I wish I had a dog. :(

Today is Ci Elaine's Wedding Day (13.01.13). Such a great day huh. Plus, 13th of January is her birthday too. Congratulations to her and her husband! The wedding is in Bandung and only my parents went there.

I have been home alone for more than a day. Spent yesterday eating sushi, watching TV series. And I started to read again. YAY. And I spent today going to church, pizzas and more on TV series.

I think I am feeling a bit stiff on writing posts these days. Not only the internet us not coordinating with me. But also I don't have much to talk about. This sucks you know. urgh.

Atashin'chi

Atashin'chi, one of my favorite childhood animes. I have been rewatching this series recently. However, I have only downloaded 7 episodes so far. It is really hard to find the other remaining 200-sth episodes. grr..

Btw, I haven't been blogging much lately. This is because, my laptop has some troubles in opening Blogger, Facebook, Youtube lately. Yes, I haven't been watching youtube videos in weeks! ARGH! On the contrary though, I am obsessed with all the series I downloaded online.

Download Atashin'chi 01-07 episodes--> Click me

Atashin'chi is a Japanese anime series about a typical family's activities would be like. It's like the Japanese version of The Simpsons.

This series was aired a long time ago at RCTI (Indonesia's tv channel), probably when I was still in preschool. I would wake up really early to be able to watch this. Those good times.

Food Aunt

Today, mom and us (me and my sisters) went out with my Piuku (aunt) Lily to Gandaria City. This is my first time going there and I must say that this is my favorite mall ever! You might wonder why? Because, it's big, spacious, and most importantly it is not crowded at all. Despite all the sales everywhere, there are very little visitors that eases us to search through the items without having to compete with people.

I am not the type of girl who likes to shop so much. But this is an urgent case because my cousin is getting married next week and I don't have any clothes, much or less heels. That's why I spent the day shopping. Shopping is so hard. Man, if I were a billionaire, to make life easier, I would buy the whole department store to myself.. However, that would be impossible.

So we strolled around, entered shops after shops, until we got hungry. We all decided to eat at a Korean Restaurant called Chaesundang. We were the only customers there. HAHA. A funny thing happened when ordering the dishes. My aunt asked the waiter which beverage is not sweet, and the waiter straightaway answered "Tea". Okay, it's not that funny writing it down.

blurry image. I love that spoon and chopstick.

capjae. This tastes so good! I love it so much! Although the noodles are so chewy and I got choked from time to time.
Bimbimbap
yummy! But it's a bit different from the one I tried from Sushi Groove. But both taste really nice.

pancake or as my aunt calls it Korean's martabak
Gimbab. This tastes plain but plus points for the rice though!

I think I'm in love with Korean food.  I always have this presumption in my head that Korean food only goods on the outside and would taste yucky. However, I was completely wrong. Never judge a book by its cover, aye.

After lunch, we went around the mall again. And it was time for dinner. Ate at Sushi Tei. Apparently I just knew that whenever there is a person's birthday in that specific week we dine in there, they will serve us a special rice birthday cake. Luckily, Vivi's birthday falls on this week and so she gets this awesome gift from Sushi Tei.

the birthday cake
Vivi and the rice cake
Afterwards, we went around the mall again and my mom and piuku both decided to sign up a Gandaria member card. So while waiting, my sisters and I took pictures with the Sanrio castle display.

Btw,  I have never known that Hello Kitty's partner's name is Dear Daniel. LOL.

On our way home, we found this statue of a naked girl sitting on a horse. Oops, I mean woman not girl. --" ..

So at around 9 past something, we went home. We had spent about 9 hours at Gandaria City! Whoah, Ive never spent so much time on wandering around the mall.

items bought: 3 pairs of heels, 3 dresses.
All in all, Gandaria City is a great place to hang out with people. The food there is complete. You can conduct a culinary tour there. JK. There is a Turkish ice cream though like the one I saw at Shanghai expo! The ice cream server is Caucasian too. There is Yokomon ice cream too, the one I bought at the cosplay convention at PRJ.

I hope I might get to visit that mall again soon.
