Melbourne Outing Day 3

It has come to this day, the last day of our great outing in Melbourne. The feeling of leaving this beautiful city is such a burden for me. The feeling of having to face back reality and abandoning the lovely carefree life in Melbourne.

So that day, the girls were the first one to arrive in the lobby. Yeah for us man.

Then we were off to brunch at Stove Monkey. By the time we arrived there, the boss of the place greeted us cordially. However, when we asked for a table of 9, the owner said that we should have called first to book that many seats in one go. Basically she was not ready to serve that many people at once. On the bright side, after much discussion with her husband (the chef), she agreed on having us. This is probably the first time ever experience of having to be rejected by a restaurant.

we ordered all the breakfast specials for the five of us (girls only)

this is so sour! aaaaa

The food was great. Why does everything has to be so good here in Melbourne. Anyway, this cafe has the most peculiar restroom ever. It has a mannequin inside the restroom and a poster involving biology and birds. It reminded me of a mystery game I used to play on the computer. I simply enjoy the many oddballs this place has!

After brunch, we continued to drive to Puffing Billy.

The trip on the train was amazing! On our trip from Belcrave to Lakeside, we got our own carriage. It was super fun having the carriage to ourselves. We took lots of ridiculous epic photos along the way. The fascinating moment having to sit down on top of the window bars seems barbaric and illiterate but it was such an incredible experience. It was great dangling from time to time. But to some extent, you would get butt cramps and would immediately had to stop dangling and sit down normally on the available seats to relieve the cramps.

On the way back from Lakeside to Belcrave, we shared the carriage with another family. And by that time, most of us were all very tired in having to shout and take pictures of the same view again. So we just sat there and nibbled on the snacks that we had prepared in our backpacks. Yes, we came well prepared to avoid starvation. It was kind of a boring trip way back home.

By the time we reached on our original location, it was 5:30. We had to catch board on to our plane at 7:30 (I guess). We had to hurry up. We had not even taken the gyutandon orders from our beloved friends in Sydney. So, there on the spot, all of us distributed the task of taking the gyutandons and taking dinners to save some time and so that we could be able to board on safe and sound.

The girls went to a Thai restaurant called Ying Thai, for dinner and takeaways for the guys. While the guys went to the city to pick up the ox-tongue they ordered by phone.

a famous ice cream parlous in which we only passed by through.

The pandan chicken was DELICIOUS!

Anyway, while waiting for our food to be cooked, Cim, Ci Tika, Felya and I went to Koko black, a chocolate shop, to buy chocolates. However, instead of turning right, we turned left, and we were all lost. Subsequently, Ci Hilda called one of us and told us that our dinner had arrived. So we quickly had to go back and eat quickly.

After the quick dinner, we managed to scrape some time to visit Koko Black.

We were about to be late for our plane but we were very proud of Ci Hilda for her amazing driving skill that we reached the airport right on time. The guys were waiting. They hadn't eaten their dinner. Apparently, they ate their dinner on air. Hmm, that sounded a bit off. Let me rephrase that. The boys had their dinner in the sky. I had no idea how to correct this sentence to be a little less dodgy in sound.

In the plane, I was being scolded again by the people sitting in front of me. Reasonably, I was making too much noise talking with Ci Tika and Ci Hilda, and the people sitting in front were disturbed. They quickly turned their heads around and was staring at us. That was scary. Another time was that I spoke too closely near the ear of the person in front of me that when I was in the middle of finishing my sentence to Ci Tika and Ci Hilda, that woman was staring at me in about 5cm distance. I immediately apologised. However, she was still not amused.

There were too many inconceivable sensations from the 3 days and 2 nights in Melbourne! Right from the beginning of our trip till the very end of the marvellous Melbourne outing.
