Then we proceeded in the bible study.
We discussed about Galatians 4-5:12. I came across a very interesting point of this passage. Apparently, all the Galatians were following the law imposed from the covenant as told by the false teachers, the Jews. There is a connection of this letter with the book of Genesis.
Sarah, being a barren wife to Abraham, told her husband to take her handmaiden, Hagar. Hagar later on gave birth to Ishmael. However, this child was not the promised child God promised to Abraham. And only by Sarah's womb should the baby of the promised kingdom be born, Isaac.
How ironic the passage from Genesis and the Galatians is that being described in Galatians, the Jews were Hagar's children while the Gentiles were Sarah's children.
Another point is that in Galatians, Paul was first treated like he was one of the angels as time goes on, he was treated like an enemy.
After the bible study, Diana made fatty oreo milkshake.
