Diana's 19th Pre-birthday Surprise and Birthday Dinner

7.7.14

Headed to my Crystal Little Corner at the Main Library in UNSW. There is no such location on UNSW that has this name. I am just calling my favourite corner that in case you haven't noticed. Basically, I decided to study in the library because I am the type of person who is unable to study at home. As there are a lot of distractions at lingering around ever inch of my place.

At around 3, I attended the pre-birthday surprise to celebrate Diana's, a.k.a Miss Favorite Indonesia 2014, birthday in advance. The surprise was at Uniterrace.. I cannot believe how time flies. I could still remember the surprise Haubert and I did for her last year at the same place!

Celebrating a friend's birthday brings a group of people closer, isn't it? That's what I feel. Not to mention, looking at their surprised and touched faces are just the icing on the cake; the spice in a soup; whatever metaphors you want to call it. I guess studying abroad might make all of us lonely, but then again, with events like this, life could be warmer knowing you still have friends here.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

On the next day, Diana kindly invited us to her 19th birthday dinner at Jones the Grocer in the city. The food was great, atmosphere was exquisite and most importantly being a witness to seeing her grow over the years was stupendous!

Thanks again Diana for the lovely dinner. You have been a dear friend of mine since Uniprep. You actually brightened up my foundation course phase. Despite the fact that we do not see much of each other during uni, we at least get to meet up during Friday Fellowships! Again, Happy Birthday! Wishing you all the best in life and God bless.

ps: the heels I was wearing that night was killing me. I am still curious how party chicks here use heels everywhere they go. They must have really strong lower limbs.

Fish Pie

What a long time it was since the day we prepared food together at Kevin's humble abode. Things got too busy and we barely even had the time to gather together with the presence of homemade cuisine.

Today was my last physiology lab, I had my third and last quiz. I could not be bothered of the quiz anymore, I think I did a few mistakes but oh well. what's past is past. There is no reason of crying for a spilt milk.

Later in the afternoon, Sharon, Alvin and I made our way to Kevin's place. I thought we would start cooking early, but then in the end, all of them were finishing their microbio report, while I was watching youtube. We started a bit late.

Today's dinner was Fish Pie and a quickie dessert, with sushi being the appetizer.

1$ sushi

this tofu one was amazing! it was actually better than the chicken katsu one

voila, fish pie is served with Kevin's British accent. He is very posh in his accent, isn't he?

this is a bad ending picture, but oh well
It started to pour that night. Despite the rainy season, we definitely enjoyed our last dinner together before facing our worst nightmares. I have not started studying on anything yet. I hope I could get it all done before hand. I would want to avoid an all-nighter this semester. Hope it goes well!

Hurricane Express

After church, Kristel offered whether I wanted to hit the gym with her. I, after being such a carnivore from the BBQ the other day was guilty and had to shed off the calories. The gym was great and very motivating. Everybody was running or exercising non-stop. That actually triggered me to do the same despite the fact that I was panting like crazy.

I felt really tired though afterwards, felt that I could have just fallen asleep after showering.

For dinner, we went to Hurricane Express in Waterloo. This is my first time eating ribs here. Everyone was so obsessed with Hurricane Express since I was in first year, I had the chance eating it in second year which was such a great resistance for a whole year for me, I guess.

woo, orders

After we finished dinner we all separated ways and had to go back to reality starting tomorrow!
