The Wedding Feast of...

Ooh, a suspense in the title adds a dramatic impact. You all probably are wondering whose wedding feast it is. Does it involve me in it? Well, duuh. In fact it involves all of us. Yes, indeed! Amazed? Still being confounded by the fact that it's your wedding but then again you haven't even met that special someone in your life? Let me make it clear to you. This wedding worths extremely greater than the grandest and most magical wedding you have ever dreamt of!

Read on and be enlightened by this delightful one-of-a-kind feast!

With a reserved ticket in hand, we started to make our move to enter the high tea hall which is located in one of the rooms near the Matthews Food court somewhere in UNSW.

the ticket! each entry costs 5 bucks !
Entering the hall,  there is the childcare service taken care by a couple of FIC (Focus International Church) member. They were in charge of taking care the kids while mothers could participate in tea time. Then there was a separate room with multi-coloured clothed tables and on top of them are trays filled with pretty little cupcakes decorated with beautiful embellishments. It was the sweetest sight I have seen this month apart from all the mid-semester questions combined!

When the show started, Ci Icing greeted all of us cordially and introduced the event to all of us. As another opening, there was a video about individuals being interviewed about how they view someone who they idolise and that particular idol is not telling when he/she will come to your house. Their answers are unique of course.

Following the opening, there was an ice breaker game! It was a pictionary game! There were 5 groups total based on the number of tables. Basically, the main goal of the game was to finish a total of 8-questions as fast as possible! The first person that got the question had to draw the required item to be drawn, while the rest of the members had to answer, then after they could answer, we should answer another questions, afterwards, the next person had to submit the answer and collect another question and the cycle goes on.

It was time for the talk brought by Ci Hilda!

But before then, Kristel read out the bible from Matthew 25: 1-13. It is about the parable of the ten virgins. The five of them are foolish and the other five are wise. If you recall, they are waiting for the bridegroom to come, however, he is delayed. During the wait, they all fell asleep. But then there was a cry, signalling the coming of the bridegroom. Because the foolish did not bring a flask of oil with them to fill into their lamps, they asked for the wise ones'. However, the wise ones were so wise (that's why they're called wise, duuh) that they refused in sharing because the supply would not be enough any way so they told the foolish ones to go and buy at the nearest shop. Retrieving the newly-bought oil, when they returned back, the doors were shut and they were banging the doors and was asking to be let in. But then, there was a jaw-dropping moment in which they were rejected by the Lord himself!

Now you must have been thinking that this marriage is about Jesus. And you are 100% right! Like what I have mentioned above, this is the most incredible wedding you will expect when Jesus finally returns for the second time. The marriage of the groom and the bride in this case God being the groom and Israel being the bride.

No one knows the specific day and hour of the second coming, so we all must be fully equipped and ready. As a christian, one should spread how important it is that Jesus has died on the cross to cleanse our sins rebuilding our relationship with God! Moreover, it is not by our works that we are saved, nonetheless we are saved by the blood of Jesus. It is by grace and mercy of God for humanity to be saved. It is the undeserving love that God has given to all of us.

Gospel should affect our daily lives. Christian life apart from the persecution is definitely a good life. This is because by the end of the world, you would retrieve heaven and all sacrifices are worth it. Secondly, real relationship with Jesus is utterly important. You would not want him to not recognise you when you're just footsteps away from entering heaven.

along with Celine and Sharon!
It was a great evangelistic event and it was fun meeting new people there as well! The feast was encouraging and rebuking at the same time. One should be prepared for the return of Jesus !

Many thanks to the members involved in making the afternoon tea a huge success! And thank GOD for his guidance in making all these even possible! Let us continue to spread the AWESOME news to our dear loved ones!
