I was in a middle of researching my euthanasia debate and then I went on with procrastinating instead. This sucks. I felt terribly bad with my groupmates though. It has to be handed in by today and all Ive done is just dot points from BBC website.

Just did my Group Enzyme project last night during babs lab. It was completely a tragedy. We were so desperate. The experiment failed a couple of times. But, our kind demonstrator told us that it was okay. We could mention all the problems on our report and still got a good mark. We were relieved.

I have tons of assignments piling up now. Week 13 is the start of my first semester exam. aaaaa.. Why time flies so damn fast man.. Still got debate, math computer assignment and babs report to be done. 

Got mail?

The OPI nail polish Cim bought has finally arrived! I took a look at my mail box and found this Australian Post card relating about the deliverance of the nail polish! I had to take this card along with and redeem it in the Australian Post Office near Cim's new place. It was quite far away and fortunately Angelica was willing to show me the place and accompanied me there.

When I got the parcel, I could smell the nail polish odour so distinctly. It was as if one of the bottles was opened or something. However, I didn't straightly open the parcel in the post office. I still put it inside my bag and continued back to uni for my next lecture.

Back at home, after class, I opened the parcel, there was a pink bubble wrap protecting the 4 nail polishes from breakage. However, one of the nail polish got broken. Now that explains the extreme nail polish scent penetrating from the package. It was a red shatter OPI, and well, I told Cim about the broken nail polish, she emailed the person selling the nail polish. To our good luck, the seller is ready to refund 8$.

Later on that night! I quickly removed my pink metallic nails and switched it to this Shrek/Kermit-the-frog green nails! I freaking love it!

Speaking of the Group Enzyme protocol project, I met up with one of my group mates that night. We did it together, and we were finally done with the project! PHEW. Thank God for that. At last, we are done with the first draft of the protocol that has to be submitted tomorrow during BABS lab.

Cim's 19th Birthday

The 8th of April has come, and if you have been a loyal reader to my blog or at least those of you who know my one and only elder sister, Michelle Priscilla Tika, might have known that it's her birthday today. I believe, this is the first time I address her with her full name in this blog.

I was actually planning to stay up longer at night so that I could wish her as the clock stroke a minute past midnight! However, I was super tired and fell asleep.

It was a good thing that I slept early which benefitted me to wake up at 6:30 in the morning. I made her a birthday sandwich consisting of 4 slices of bread smeared with strawberry jam and peanut butter. You could actually call it a peanut butter and jelly birthday sandwich aka PB&J sandwich! This is one of the disadvantages of being unable to cook/bake/or anything handy in the kitchen.

Woke Cim up and handed her with the birthday sandwich. Since there is no candle, I used a piece of a Korean snack (more or less like a twistie), dipped in jam (to look like a lighted candle) and sprinkled some chocolate grains (meses if you call it in Indo, I am too lazy to find the english word for this, I have a lot of blog posts to be published! ) for decoration.

At around noon, I started my uni class. Finished at 5, met up with my Group Enzyme Protocol group mates. Then at 6, met up with Grace, Bunga, Della, Raymond, Earl, Santa, Nichole to surprise Kathleen's belated birthday. 

Then, Raymond and I were late for Cim's birthday dinner at Ci Icing's place. When we arrived, most of everyone had almost finish with their plates. 

The food was really good. You can never go wrong with Chinese food.

Anyway, after all of us had finished eating, it was time for question and answer time. Cim was asked to sit on the hot seat to be asked several questions. It was really entertaining.

Meanwhile, Sheila, Vira, Andrian came to Ci Icing's place, again with another surprise for Cim! They brought another birthday cake. Cim cried :) She was so moved.

It was around 9, and I headed back home. Thanks again to Gosali for driving me home! And to Ko Howie, Ko Popo, Ci Sapi for giving their seats to me and Raymond in the car. 

Packing and Task (22.3.13 - 23.3.13)

Another late post. I think I better summarise this as short as possible.

So on the 22nd of March, I went to meet up with Sheila, Heidy, Kevin, Sharon at the law library. I have booked a room for a certain amount of time in order for us to study together. I actually wanted Heidy to teach me about Biology, but in the end, we ended up doing all our respective assignments. Like myself, if I am not mistaken, I went on doing my Scif 1111 class biography assignment. Kevin was doing the same thing. Sharon continued her BABS peer reviewed primary research essay. While Heidy, Jupe and Sheila learnt accounting.

During our study period, I met Earl, Santa and Raymond on their way to the second floor.

At around 4, it appeared that someone had been waiting for their turn of share of the room booking. So we had to leave the room and searched for another room to study. We ventured around and we separated ways. I went with Kevin and Sharon while the other three girls went somewhere else to find Andrian.

Kevin, Sharon and I decided to study in the new building in UNSW called the Tyree building. It's an engineering building and unlike the other buildings in UNSW, this building is so high-tech. Moreover, the architectural design seems so modern. The three of us went up to the most up-est floor and stayed there.

After a while, a supervisor approached us and told us that we are not supposed to sit there. In fact, the place we were staying is only for staff members only. We didn't know about that and apologised and continued our search for a place to finish our assignments. 

From the top floor, we went to the basement. The signal there was atrocious. I couldn't even text my friends. We stayed there up till 6 o'clock. We decided to be quiet and not talk to one another for the sake of finishing at least one of our overloading assignments. I was able to finish my class biography! It was the most triumphant moment I have gotten for the whole week. Half of my burden had been lifted off somehow. I still got BABS to finish only. (Well it's finished now and even submitted it, no wonder this is such a late post).

At six, we parted our ways. I should prepare myself for a bible study conference that will start at around 7-ish I guess.

It was a Saturday and I promised Cim that I would help her pack her things from Ama's place (her home stay). But before going to her place, we stopped by at East Gardens to do a little shopping for my place. I had finished all the stock I shopped last week. 

Upon arriving in East Gardens, there was a mini farm display just right at the entrance of the mall. Cim told me that they would display ducks, chicks, and other farm animals during weeks nearing Easter.

They are all adorable creatures! Having bits of cuteness obsession still in mind, we continued our way to do our grocery shopping at Coles. Met Ci Lily there! What a coincidence!

With groceries done, we went to Ama's place and let the journey and hard work of packing begin. Cim's clothes are too much. I think there were around 7-8 bags total after the packing was done. We spent a couple of hours tidying up.

Both of us went back home to Uniterraces at around 6 I guess. Cim was leaving her homestay and rented a place at Ci Icing's apartment next wednesday (27th March).

Shunken Sentimental

Days ago, I came across this Japanese Girl Band known as Scandal on TV. And honestly, their music video on Shunken Sentimental is awesome! They kinda remind me of K-on for some reason. But, two thumbs up! They are really cool showing off their band skills.

Anyway, I got my English Research Essay assignment today! It is extremely satisfying! Hard work does really pay off. I mean, I have printed 4 times for this essay and I have gone back and forth consulting with my English teacher. Thank God so much for this! 

Next, I am in the middle of watching youtube videos on nail tutorial arts. I'm planning to paint my nails again. As the vintage floral nails are chipping out everyday, I should quickly replace them with something else if I could find myself the time. I mean, it is almost final exam. Moreover, I, sometimes, feel distracted every time I have a new nail coats. I would get paranoid or instead of studying I would observe my nails. Such a waste of time right. Speaking of wasting time, I did the most ridiculous thing ever while preparing myself for Math Mock the other day. I was in a lot of stress, and everything around me seems very interesting at the time, especially the torchlight Denny gave me recently. 

I took the torchlight and started directing it to my eyes to dilate my pupils. I spent 5 solid minutes watching my pupils dilate in front of the mirror with the torchlight.

Okay, back to nail polish topic, I found this cute youtube channel, Cutepolish

I think I'm going to paint my nails with a leopard print.. I have been craving it since yesterday. But this just have to wait until I have finished my semester exam.

 

This brings me to a closing, I have to go now and hit the books. Bye..

It Takes Blood, Sweat, Tears, Innovation

At long last, I have submitted my English Research Essay. It's as if a heavy burden has been lifted off. No more staying up late to do essays! I can breathe now and even focus on my other subjects.

Today, same old same old, went to school up till 4 o'clock. What's different today was that there was a representative straight from the Faculty of Engineering from UNSW, Brady Hall. He gave us a presentation introducing us about engineering. It was overall pretty cool demo. He even brought a dog robot with him. But unfortunately, none of us could touch it. LOL.

After reaching home, I watched Friends. I've finished Season 8 today! 2 more seasons to go! HAHA.

I opened Facebook, and Derrick, sent me this image link of Disney's Maleficent! I am truly excited for this movie to be released on theaters during March 2014! 

What's so special about this movie is that the story of Sleeping Beauty is told from the point of view of Maleficent. This would definitely thrill watchers! Because most of us would have no idea what Maleficent's background is. Moreover, Angelina Jolie played as Maleficent!

Lastly, I have gotten some revision books to prepare myself for the upcoming examinations! I am really hoping that I can excel in my studies. Amen.

Anyway, I have submitted my draft to my English lecturer. Apparently, my second paragraph was more of a discussion essay paragraph instead of an argumentative essay paragraph. So I have to edit that specific paragraph once more. And, Thank God, I have written 982 words after editing. Obviously, I have passed my minimum word boundary.  phew.

Finally, I have completed my RESEARCH ESSAY and it's ready for submission! Thank you Jesus! And, good news, I've reached the minimum number of words acquired (950) plus I don't exceed the maximum number of words (1200) ! 1015 baby! Just right in the middle. So relieving!

Fun Time

I'm in the middle of editing my Research Essay. It's going to be submitted either tomorrow or day after tomorrow. As usual, I'm listening to depapepe songs while doing my essay. I love this song called Fun Time by depapepe. Sounds so jazzy. Love the piano accompaniment. Anyway, I'm stuck in finding a back-up reference for my data in my essay. I can't seem to find the source. That's why I ended up blogging about this.

It's almost the weekend people! Let us all get recharged once again! I love Thursdays. That's just because the next day is Friday and I usually have very little classes that day. Unfortunately, today, I was handed the final exam schedule which slightly drained my weekend mood. I panicked and basically worried about how I could go through the examination weeks and how my exam results would turn out.

Next problem, I have to submit in my final research essay next week. I'm a bit short of words in my first draft essay. I'm planning to consult to my English tutor tomorrow with my second draft. However, I haven't even started my second draft. Maybe I'll just have to burn the midnight candle for this.

Furthermore, I am actually continuing to watch Friends TV series. SEASON 8! 2 more seasons to go and I'm through! I'm a bit frenzy at the moment after watching Friends. I laughed non-stop. Like literally! This sitcom will surely lighten up your day. You will absolutely burst out with laughter!

Perhaps I should begin my second draft research essay right now. And before that I should make myself a cup of coffee to keep me awake. GOOD LUCK TO ME!

Wanted

After the dreadful hours spent on the research essay I have mentioned earlier in the previous post, I have finished it and have also submitted it too. However, to my bad luck, the printer at school was running out of ink. Thus I only handed the soft copy of the essay through email. And I got a feeling that my teacher won't even read it. --". It's pretty hard for myself to check an essay from a soft copy. So if I were in my teacher's position, most probably, I would not even bother to open the soft copy and would think of a lame excuse to tell my student. Man, I would be a terrible teacher if I became a one. 

Moving on, I love this song by Hunter Hayes called "Wanted". This song is mellifluous! A term which means "pleasing to ears". Just learned it through the wordweb I have downloaded months ago. Sorry for all the cheesy promotion. 

Research Essay

I'm presently doing my Research Essay 1st draft on "Is the Internet Eroding Social Contact". Frankly, it has been hours and I haven't completed it. It's harder than what I had thought it would be. I'm writing an argumentative essay and I'm down to my last point right now! So basically, I have about 2 more paragraphs before I could kiss my 1st draft goodbye. To lighten up the situation, and also keeping myself alive, I put on Depapepe songs that I have downloaded days ago. But I guess, my brain is starting to be lemod right now. That's why I'm blogging this instead of continuing on my essay.

Regardless, I really envy my WMU friends right now. They have just finished their 3rd semester! This means that they're just enjoying their days off before they set foot to USA. While, I still got like 2 more stressful months at Uniprep. Not to mention, I have less than 30 days before final exam! TIME TO PANIC! It's already the month of October. How time swifts by.
