Life in the Dreamhouse

Never thought I would say this but today I spent the day watching Barbie videos in which I find very entertaining. It all started when I got home from school earlier than usual, grabbed lunch, and when youtube-ing. I didn't know what to watch then, so first I watched a few Annoying Orange videos. But then I got bored and suddenly the most absurd feeling of having to watch Barbie appeared in my mind. I immediately typed the keyword "barbie" on youtube and there were a lot of videos about Barbie.

I came upon a video about Barbie living in a not-so-happy family. She kept on arguing with Ken. Watch the videos below.

After sometime, I clicked another Barbie video which led me to knowing that a sitcom-cartoon version of Barbie exist. It's called Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse.

I don't know why I got addicted watching these. There are a total of 18 episodes so far, still ongoing. Each brand new episode is out every Friday. whoah, now. I can't believe I began to watch Barbie again..It has been a while and most importantly I always have this chill down my spine whenever I watch a Barbie movie. But I guess, I don't have that sensation when watching these mini-episodes.

You can watch this series on youtube or you can just click the link--> Barbie Dreamhouse website

Well it's up to you to watch it or not, but I guarantee that Barbie may expose the innerchild in you. *So much for an advertisement*

Shunken Sentimental

Days ago, I came across this Japanese Girl Band known as Scandal on TV. And honestly, their music video on Shunken Sentimental is awesome! They kinda remind me of K-on for some reason. But, two thumbs up! They are really cool showing off their band skills.

Anyway, I got my English Research Essay assignment today! It is extremely satisfying! Hard work does really pay off. I mean, I have printed 4 times for this essay and I have gone back and forth consulting with my English teacher. Thank God so much for this!

Next, I am in the middle of watching youtube videos on nail tutorial arts. I'm planning to paint my nails again. As the vintage floral nails are chipping out everyday, I should quickly replace them with something else if I could find myself the time. I mean, it is almost final exam. Moreover, I, sometimes, feel distracted every time I have a new nail coats. I would get paranoid or instead of studying I would observe my nails. Such a waste of time right. Speaking of wasting time, I did the most ridiculous thing ever while preparing myself for Math Mock the other day. I was in a lot of stress, and everything around me seems very interesting at the time, especially the torchlight Denny gave me recently.

I took the torchlight and started directing it to my eyes to dilate my pupils. I spent 5 solid minutes watching my pupils dilate in front of the mirror with the torchlight.

Okay, back to nail polish topic, I found this cute youtube channel, Cutepolish

I think I'm going to paint my nails with a leopard print.. I have been craving it since yesterday. But this just have to wait until I have finished my semester exam.

This brings me to a closing, I have to go now and hit the books. Bye..

Looper

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I am going to blog about my last lab day today! As usual, we have Chemistry lab first which is followed by Physics Lab. What's different about today's last lab is that our Physics Lab was conducted by Mr Arnold, the new physics teacher.

After doing our Chemistry practicals, we still got half an hour more before entering Physics Lab. We ate our breakfast downstairs. I think I'm going to miss the shop's gorengan. Especially the bala-bala. They taste wonderful.

eating2..
Subsequently, there are still some more time to kill, so we went upstairs again to take pictures with our chemistry teacher, Stephen Fletcher. Alas, Delvin was too busy to join us, so we did the photos without him.

Nicho, Denny, Citra, Felix, Mr Stephen Fletcher, me, Sharon
with Miss Fitri. She's the lab assistant

Regrettably, we didn't take photos in the physics lab because we were too busy doing two practicals at once. Moreover, we were about to hang out after lab session, so we were in a rush.

Later on, Citra, Nicho, Felix and I together headed to Plaza Indonesia and EX. We were not in the same car though. There was heavy traffic on the way to the mall. Traffic is such a major problem in Jakarta. It should be overcome as soon as possible.

Upon arriving PI/EX, we decided to eat lunch at Fat Burger. Chatted there too. Apparently, there was this cool jukebox inside the fastfood restaurant. I should have taken a photo of it.

After lunch, the four of us started to stroll around the mall again while waiting for Fenny to arrive. Then we took these photos at an apple store at EX. Felix even set our photo as the wallpaper desktop.. -_-

We proceeded to J.CO for a yoghurt and more chit-chats.

Moving on, Bakerzin here we come! We were actually a bit confused on which shop we should stop by next. We were thinking of stopping by Lamoda but then we have all decided to just come by to Bakerzin.

I forgot what I was doing then..

At about 4, Fenny came after submitting her research essay to Uniprep. It was time for Citra, Nicho and Felix to leave for PIK too. They had another outing which they had to attend. So we bid goodbye, and I started going around the mall with Fenny. But first, we bought movie tickets. It has been quite a while since I watch movies at the cinemas. We bought movie tickets to watch Looper at 5 in the evening.

In order to kill time, we went to pancious, Fenny was craving for waffles, so there we went. We talked there too :)

Fenny covering herself

Ice Green Apple Tea, really refreshing! *must-try

Fenny's waffles
We talked for quite some time. Thank you Fenny for the drink :)

At 5, we went back to the theater for Looper.. Looper sounds so cute. Doesn't sound that intimidating at all perhaps.

The movie for today would be Loopers, starring Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt. A story about a futuristic city with the presence of time machine and the power of telekinesis that connects the past and the future of everybody. Basically, 'loopers' is a term used a lot in the film which means a person who is in charge of killing future people sent by the time machine at a specific time. Obviously, loopers were quite the trendy job in the film. They were rich because after killing the "loop" (the person delivered by the time machine), they would get silver bars and golden bars which were the currency in this movie. Apparently, loopers were bad people and in 30 years time, there was the so-called Rainmaker who had taken control of the 5 (or maybe 6, I forgot) major parts of the world to wipe out these loopers. A guy named Joe decided to demolish the Rainmaker when it was his turn to be killed by the looper who turned out to be himself from the past. Not to mention during the process of him being taken as captive, his beloved wife was shot dead. To seek vengeance, he decided to track down young Rainmaker and kill him before he had control over the world. To make a long story short, past Joe decided to sacrifice himself in order to save young Rainmaker from having to have an evil future.

You might want to check out the thriller-action movie yourself to see more details in the film. Honestly, Fenny and I had some shocked moments. It's a good thing, we have covered ourselves with a blanket.

watch the trailer

ps: I feel Joseph-Gordon Levitt looked a bit different than he usually looks, which bothers me a lot

After the movie, we bought some bubble teas before crossing for Grand Indonesia. Oh yeah we met Diana too at EX. What a coincidence. At GI, we strolled around, window-shopping @ Forever 21, then we went to this cute Japanese shop called "Scoop" . It is incredibly adorable. You have got to visit it.

ps: I took the risk of taking these photos, there were people looking. --"

All in all, awesome day and no more waking up early to Subud for lab session. Yippee

Happily N'ever After

Guess what! I have finally watched Happily Never After after so long! Alas, I could not find the online link to watch the first happily never after movie, so I just watched the second one. Usually, sequels of animated films like this turn out to be worse than the first one. But, to my good luck, I haven't watched the first one so I am unable to compare the both of them and this movie is actually pretty okay for children though. If I watched this when I was little, I would definitely love it. Now, not so much. A bit lame for me to be exact. Maybe I've gotten mature. NOOOOOO..

Happily Never After the sequel tells about a twisted story of Snow White. However, Snow White here is a bit naughty. She was struggling in maintaining her teenage popularity with controlling the kingdom. Not to mention the image of her dead mother, Queen Grace, kept haunting her. The people of the kingdom were  somewhat shocked by the fact that despite the splitting image of mother and daughter, both of their personalities were totally different. Queen Grace loved to help the people. While Snow White, just wanted to seek popularity and was tired of having the responsibility to assist her people. Meanwhile, Old King Cole, Snow White's dad, was having troubles controlling her spoiled Snow White. To resolve this, he decided to search for the perfect queen. Nevertheless, the balance operating the happy and bad endings of the kingdom became dysfunctional and all had gone topsy turvie. Due to this, a woman devoured by jealousy and power turned to Rumpelstiltskin to cast a spell upon her ugly face to be the exact resemblance of Queen Grace. King Cole was definitely charmed by her and decided to marry her. Along the way, Snow White started to alter her characters when she was confronted with the seven dwarfs in the woods. With Peter, Snow White's crush, together they came back to the kingdom to prevent the king from making a fatal choice. In the end, despite the title Happily Never After, they all lived happily ever after.

Honestly, the idea of the story plot line was not so bad after all. Nonetheless, I sometimes felt pissed watching posh Snow White yapping all the way. I hated her childish gestures, crying, weeping, when she didn't get what she wanted, or when her dad disagreed with her. Frankly, I was  really looking forward she would go into a deep slumber when she took a bite on that poisoned apple.Yet, the poisoned apple only charmed her by saying inappropriate mean things to everybody in the kingdom. urghh...

All in all, pretty okay movie. The reason I watched this movie was that last time I was searching for similar movies like Ella Enchanted. I was eager to find something else similar like that. Then, I saw this title. Moreover, this movie is a little similar to Shrek, combining the modern life in a medieval kingdom. But Shrek did it better. It did not overdo it like this one. This one got a cellphone during a medieval time period. That was just crossing the line.

Thai Songs

To make things straight, I am in love with Thai songs. Not only that the music videos are cute but the melody is pretty catchy. I don't understand any of the words they are saying. But the main point is, they all sound good!

Here are the following music videos I have watched yesterday.

The guy above kinda looks a bit like Kwangsoo. LOL

The guy on the video above kinda resembles Indonesia's famous dangdut singer, Rhoma Irama's son. If I'm not mistaken his son is Rhido Rhoma..
Excuse any spelling mistake :)

I'm a bit surprised at the music video above. It appears that the vocalist is a ladyboy. A drop-dead gorgeous ladyboy.

I love this one too! The girl is pretty.

The video above is so cute! Love the setting at the ice cream parlor.

And last but not least, my most favorite music video and song of all the Thai musics I've listened yesterday would be this one below entitled "Instinct" . Can't stop listening to this!

Sorry, I Love You

Yesterday, when I reached home from school, I was really bored that I decided to rummage through my box containing DVDs. And I found a Thai movie called Sorry I love you. I have never watched this before and so I gave it a try although I dislike the girl.

The story is about a Korean drama fanatic Thai girl, who went on a trip to South Korea to meet her idol.

That's what I got from watching this. Honestly, I didn't watch it completely. There was something wrong with the subtitle. So I could not really understood what they were saying.

Out of the three guys on the poster, my bias would be the guy on the right whose name is Ratchanon Sukprakob. Man, that name is a mouthful.Second bias would be the center guy, Sarun Sirilak.

Thai is such a fun language.

To the Beautiful You, WordWeb

While waiting for the pictures uploading process for another post, I better type this post right now, so that I can continue working on my seminar presentation on Domestic Violence. Such a hard topic. Anyway, I have just downloaded the coolest virtual dictionary ever! It's called Wordweb! You can download this online dictionary here : --> click here

Anywho, I am currently in love watching korean stuffs. Man, I would never imagine that I would be head over heels about Korean Entertainment again. I thought I have moved on.. It's hard to kill old obsession aye.

I'm watching the drama called To the Beautiful You played by Sulli from F(x), Minho from Shinee and Lee Hyunwoo. Oh yeah! Not to mention there's Kwanghee from Ze:a.. --" His appearance was totally beyond my expectation. His acting was actually pretty good. He was so much in character for a drama queen.

This drama was recommended by Willdy

Oh jolly, how I love Lee Hyunwoo's character there! He kinda resembles G-dragon during his first debut. Sulli is so cool being a guy. She has a great posture. Thumbs up! I'm still in episode 7. Nevertheless, the drama is still ongoing. LOL.

The OST from this drama is way awesome too! Check and give it a listen.

Besides watching dramas, I'm also attached to watching Korean variety shows. These shows are completely ridiculous and you all are surely guaranteed to laugh yourself out loud. I am re-watching Idol maknae Rebellion just to see Seunghyun from Ft Island and Dongho from Ukiss. LOL.

Becoming Jane

Three movies in a row today! LOL! Way to spend the day! My heart is contented! Last movie for the day would be Becoming Jane.

Becoming Jane tells the story of Jane Austen's life before she wrote famous books in the English Literature which includes Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility and many others. The incidents of her life influenced her works.

In Becoming Jane, all girls about the age of Jane should be married as soon as possible. And certainly to a wealthy man, of course. Jane's mother told her to marry too. But she refused as she did not want her life to turn out to be like her mother's; living a life without affection with her husband. Subsequently, Jane met Lefroy. They fell in love with each other, but both sides of the family did not accept them being together. In the end, they both parted ways. Lefroy went on with his life. He was married and named his eldest daughter Jane. While Jane on the other hand, she stayed un-married, standing firm as an independent woman. In addition to this, her sister, Cassandra was unmarried too.

This movie lasted about 2 hours. I love it. I would have never guessed that her background made her to be such a great author in writing stories about strong women character. She is amazing!!!

Phoebe in Wonderland

Another movie today is Phoebe in Wonderland. This movie depicts about Phoebe, a girl suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) of whom she started to hallucinate characters from Alice in Wonderland. She was really immersed in her own wonderland that her society hated her and started ridiculing her up till when she met with the new theatrical teacher at her school. Phoebe's mother was full of denial acknowledging that her daughter was different from any normal child.

I was watching this movie on Vidics right, but unfortunately I did not watch the complete movie. This is because that the link provided from Vidics itself was incomplete and stopped right at the most interesting part of the movie which was the end. So I did not know what the ending was like, what Phoebe was going to be like, whether she was sent to a healing community, I don't know. But overall, I am in awe seeing Elle Fanning (playing as Phoebe) acting such a complicated character in this movie. Have I mentioned that she was 9 years old back then. She is following her older sister's footsteps, Dakota Fanning!

Watch the Trailer!

Happy Watching :D

FairyTale- A True Story

I've just finished watching FairyTale and I should say that this is a beautiful film. It is based on a story of 2 young girls discovering fairies living at the bottom of their garden. This changed the world's perspective on the belief whether fairies exist.

There were some tear-jerking moments in which I shed tears. I have grown soft over the years. You can watch the whole film at the clip below.

Stick It

I have watched Stick It just now! It was great. The main character looks a bit like Kristen Stewart in a whole better way. She is so cool! It is released in 2006. I have no idea why I keep on watching old movies. LOL.

Stick It is a story about a rebellious girl named Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym) who was forced to enroll to an elite gymnastic academy coached by Burt Vickerman (Jeff Bridges) to reflect her misbehavior of too many run-ins with the law. She used to be an obedient gymnast up till the time when her family was broken. This led her being tough; playing by her own rules. With her presence in the gymnast department, she began to show her inappropriate routines which turned gymnastic upside down.

Frankly, I love this movie. I rarely watch movies about sports. And I should say this movie is great. There are a lot of cool gymnast moves, humor, and tear-jerking moments; all packed into this awesome movie.
ps: There is Kellan Lutz too on the film. He was not buff yet when he played there. LOL.

Watch the Trailer :o

It's available on the internet, youtube! Or you could just watch it here as I am kind enough to be willing to post it here. Credits goes to the uploader. The clips below are not mine.

I'm still enjoying my holiday! One more week to go before I give into the treacherous world of studies.

Penelope

I probably haven't mentioned that I am re-watching Ella Enchanted again. This movie is totally under my ultimate romantic comedies list. As, this is because that first of all, Ella Enchanted  is depicted from a mixture of all sorts of fairytales and brother grimms. I honestly love stories about these. Second of all, it is a romantic comedy! And thirdly, the most important factor of me adoring this movie so much is that Anne Hathaway played in it! I'm such a fan! Pretty ecstatic of seeing Hugh Dancy playing as Anne's prince charming in the film too.

Anyway, enough chitter-chatter about Ella Enchanted and let's move on to the real deal.
okay.. I have just watched Penelope starring Christina Ricci, James McAvoy and Reese Whitherspoon. Watched it on youtube, pretty disappointing. There are some parts missing in youtube. No worries, I am downloading it right now from Torrent :D hehe

watch the trailer :)

Penelope tells about a girl named Penelope (title speaks for itself) who was cursed to belong a pig nose. This curse was originated from her ancestor and could only be broken by true love of a blue blood. Another authentic fairytale you watchers should watch. Plus, it is a romantic comedy and Christina Ricci and James McAvoy make such a cute couple! I couldn't help myself grinning and smiling while watching this movie! I bet I'm going to watch this movie again and again like any other of my favorite romantic comedies. So, what are you waiting for! Go watch it :D It's available on youtube with some parts missing. Or you could just google "watch Penelope 2006 online".

You guys might be wondering where I had encountered this movie.
Well, thanks to RottenTomatoes, I am able to find similar movies like Ella Enchanted. This is just to quench my thirst of fairytales movies. LOL.
