Googly Eyes

Another post about nail arts! YEY! Before starting on the nails, I would like to explain about what a lazy day today was been for me. Here we go... woot woot, a journal post :)

peace out <3
The intention of swimming was blown away because I started to feel home sick. I only have at least a week left before I fly back to Sydney. The urge of spending more time at home empowered any motivations I had the previous night. I had a plan on what I should do today being nicely organised the previous night.

Anyway, later that morning, I had picked a book called The Search for Wondla and an Indonesian book called Silsilah Di Kitab Kejadian in which I had the motif on reading through them but after a few flip of pages, I tossed it to the side of the table and without hesitant reached out for my laptop.

Another "thing" happened today, I finally paid my overdue amount at University Terraces after receiving constant warning emails. I had mentioned to the guy that I would pay the overdue amount as soon as I got back to Sydney which was on the 27th of February (arrival date), however he didn't believe me and instead, warned me this would be reported to a debt collection agency and a bad record will be written under my name which will last at least for 7 years. Honestly, I was reluctant on paying something so huge of amount via internet especially to the insecurity of internet signals here in Indonesia, what if anything goes wrong when I was paying it online. I am not the most tech-savvy person and call me a caveman or anything for not relying the internet especially at this gadget age, I don't really care. I worry, okay!

I watched a lot of videos on youtube. A worm of curiosity grew inside of me and I watched how to read palms or fingers. It is pretty interesting how the three phalanges of the fingers depict different successes for each segment. Sort of a fortune-telling action that is and I had to stop before it went to far. You never knew how boredom could strike you to do stuffs you have never even thought of before.

Moving on, after lunch, I tried to clean up the cupboards in my dining room. It looked okay, I found new mugs and found tumblrs which I will bring to Sydney :)

Then, went for grocery shopping.

And, the highlight for today, nail paintings! Watched a video on how to make googly eyes nails <3 Super fun to make but you have to have sturdy hands while making the dots. Patience is definitely key and what makes waiting fun? Watching Conan O Brien's shows on youtube of course.

After the nails are done, I came to realise that these googly eyes look more like frog eggs... LOL

Watching Miss Indo 2014 right now! Saw Diana Jo on TV! Super psyched! All the best, girl! Seems a bit bizarre watching someone familiar on tv; in a positive way of course.. HAHA

Goodbye Old Pudding

My results are out today! I am super glad it is all over! I have passed all subjects due to God's grace and blessings! What got me super excited again was that I do not have to repeat anatomy anymore! HOORAY! Thank God SO MUCH!

By the way, in relation to the title, how do you like my new theme? I was triggered in changing my new theme after being requested by Laura. (Here you go Lau, another shout-out to you)

I screen-captured my previous blog look before I changed everything about this blog.

Honestly, I love the new blog look, it's minimalistic and I like it that way. I hope you all don't miss the previous template too much. I encourage you to read on this pudding blog. As I have mentioned, all things do not happen at once, so read on because more things and wonders await!

BABS Cell Game Project and 1to1 Finale

minion This marks the day of my completion of the Babs Cell Game Project presentation. Without even realising, my group was the first group to present the assignment. It was totally nerve-wrecking. My voice was coarse and with endless days being worried of the whole assignment completion. During the last days of my midbreak session, I was worried of having the project not done yet. I have done my part, and two of my other group mates have done theirs too. We were still waiting for one more person. But fortunately, because of his responsibility, the job was done and it was totally beyond expectation. My lab demonstrator was quite impressed too. He even said so himself. kyaa. So happy!

What makes today even better was that we had no experiment to do. After the presentation, we all could go home!

At 1, I met up with Ci Icing for a 1to1 session. 1to1 at 1 would be such a cool catchphrase for our daily dose of bible get-together. It was our last topic on the book that we used called "Just for Starters". It was a happy moment! We finally get to proceed to other books! Super exciting!

Today was also the last day of the Sensation and Perception psychology lectured by the most melodious English chap ever. Gah, the voice is so soothing and the English Accent just top it all.

obsessive compulsive CRAZY life

Friday the 13th that marks the freedom of my mid semester burden this semester! I had my anatomy spot test today. It was freaking different from what I was expecting! I was aiming high at first but by the look of the spot test today, a pass is a definite enough for me. I just need a pass man. This worths 25% of the whole course mark and once you went blank on something, it's not going to come back. This test is not some sort of test that you could goof up some jumble-up words and get away with a point. As I said before, once your mind gone, it ain't coming back.

I know I have been missing too long from this "pudding" part of my world but as you know I have been hitting the books! And as you see, that picture above is the epitome of all the stressful events that have been happening lately. From tests to mobile providers. You should see my current state of bedroom. It's a mess and I don't know where to start tidying up.

Anyway, I promise I'll update soon! So catch you all later!

In case you're wondering about the epic title. It's a phrase from a song obsessive compulsive crazy love, but then I changed the love to life. That's how random I could get now. Gonna hit the shower, and see you in an hour time for more blog posts!

Alvin and Ci Fefe's Birthday Surprise

Yesterday, after psychology lecture, Kevin, Angel and I went straight from class to bake Alvin's bombastic birthday cake at Kevin's place. But before that, we stopped by at Coles to buy the ingredients.

Kevin is a great cook. He was incredible. I forgot what the recipe of the cake by now. This was the result of posting something so late. There were a lot of impromptu modifications with the recipe though. At first, we were just planning to smear the top of the cake with lemon. But then, there were cracks everywhere. That's why Kevin had to come up with a plan B which was making the icing.

The crust of the cake was a bit burned but overall, it looks so good. You can tell that it is absolutely made with our efforts and love.

So, I had to bring home the cake and put it in my fridge and wait till today to surprise Alvin. His birthday was yesterday.

><
So during anatomy lecture, we were all asking where Alvin was. There was no sight of him. And apparently when we read his text, he was not feeling so well and he decided to skip the morning lectures. We were dumbfounded by this thought. And, I know, it was egoistic of us to tell him to come to uni because we had prepared a surprise for him. The surprise turned out to be not a surprise. Tadaa.

It was kind of an awkward moment for us that with a huge cake like that, it was impossible for us to finish it with just the three of us. So, luckily, we saw Delvin eating alone in the canteen and brought him along. Not to mention, Kevin brought along some of his friends to enjoy the cake.

medical science people. And yes, we are not all Indos. FYI.
Kevin, Angel, Me, James, JingSan, Bryan, Alvin and Delvin
DELICIOUS!
After the celebration, we had to attend a chemistry lecture. So off we went. Afterwards, Angel and I had anatomy lab for three hours and thank God my stomach did not grumble today. phew.

Later that night, I had Focus Team. I believe I have not described Focus Team before. But then again if I ever had described it, twice is better than once. Basically, Focus Team is a course used to train all of the attendees about the ways to spread the gospel. I join the Two Ways To Live course every Tuesday night from 7 to 10.

After the course, we decided to surprise Ci Fefe! As it is her birthday that day!

ci fefe's guppy face >.<

After the surprise, digging into the cake, praying, we decided to disperse.

I was late for my bedcheck curfew. But fortunately, I met my resident assistant in the common room so that I could check in. phew. Another night of relief!

O'Day

It was the opening of semester two, or so called as the Welcome Back O'Day! Similar to the first semester o'week, there were white booths and stalls along the main walkway of UNSW (not as many though).

Today, same like what I did the previous days, I did leafletting which was handing out flyers about Focus Indonesian Church which is a part of Campus Bible Study. It was utterly challenging for me to spot Indonesians. All Asians look the same to me. However, I could usually tell which ones are Koreans though as they are so fashionable! But the rest, if I don't hear them speak, I can't tell them apart.

We started around 10 (after I finished my BABS lecture).

The Blue Crew
There was a kindi farm too! Met the cutest little pig ever. They're not as fat as cartoons draw it. It's practically thin to me. The whole area smelled like the Racecourse (the place where I have exams). Yes, a racecourse, where horse racers compete. I have my finals there. Basically, the farm smells like the smell I remember to be exams. The familiar and unforgettable aroma of heart-throbbing moment during the journey to the examination hall.

There was a bull-ride too. Not a real bull. The mechanical one. The one you get in a rodeo or something. Yeah, you probably must have watched it in movies. Met Josephine, Clifford and Yangyou there. LOL.

Yangyou rode for 42 seconds.

after a couple of hours, first position was changed though. I didn't get the chance to see who it was.

an android mascot!
We kept on flyering till about 12. I had lecture at 1 and had to eat lunch first.

ate sushi <3
Then when I had lecture, the rest of the blue crew had a bible talk. We finished at the same time. And after we had finished, we returned to flyering.

We saw a 3D printing going on too! Uber cool!

got a balloon

held a chick
I got the chance to carry a chick. And I got to feel the sharpness of the fidgeting chick's feet. I got to feed a goat too. Should have taken a picture of it, but my hands were dirty from touching the animals. LOL. I was afraid I could spread the germs or some sort.

At around 4, I had to depart with the others because I was having an appointment study for psychology research participation. I finished at 5.

At around 7, Cim, Haubert and I went to Focus Team together at the Chemical Engineering building. It was my first time there. Met Mae-Ann. She was really friendly. I will be having focus team every tuesday at 7. Excited! That night, I learned that the Bible is mainly focused on facts and preaching gospels allegorically and centering ourselves to relate with any story in the bible is wrong. Not to mention, the Old Testament (OT) and New Testament (NT) relates. But not all OT stories have any relationship to NT. But the main point is that Bible is factual.

Last First Semester Exam

fruit
I have finally finished my first semester finals! The feeling I felt as soon as I handed in my paper was just overflowing with happiness, relieved and top of it all Holiday! Thank you so much God for making all this possible! With your love and grace I can complete all three exams without being sick! And I have done my truly best for all threes. I hope the result goes well. Super worried though but what's done is done. Just leave the rest to God. Aaaa. I'm still so excited that I have finished EXAMS! I have got to be more diligent next semester! This resolution has to be achieved next sem! Lots to be done during the holiday! Lots of cleaning, laundry, planning! And start hitting the books if I got the time. Another resolution: be more consistent in spending time with God!

Grace's Pre-birthday Surprise

It was a rainy day! You could see the smoke coming out of your mouth when you breathed out. This adds to the wintry feel to some extent. Basically, this was the day we had planned weeks ago even before final exams. Because I was positively sure we would not even had any time during the busy weeks of finals.

Back to the point, we planned on meeting up together at 12 at the University Terraces. It was a job well done that everyone showed up especially those who live very far away: Santa and Kathleen. We all gathered at Bunga's room. Took out the cake which Earl and I purchased the day before from Croquembouche. Kathleen got the birthday card,

Everyone was thinking of what to write on the birthday card

time to collect money! :3

When everything was set, we made our way to Grace's room! We were in a worried mode though that she might not be in her room and might be away. But to our good luck, everything was according to plan.

forced her to use the gift we bought
It was such a bummer that when we were about to go to the wintergarden, there was a fire alarm going off somewhere in the building. That was why we were very cautious to not light the candle-firework inside the building.

make a wish

it was raining out there,
and we were afraid we might turn on the fire alarm by lighting the firework

Anyway, we all went to dig in with the cake. It was super good! Delicious indeed. We chatted too. Prayed for Grace and then back to reality in which we had to proceed in studying for finals!

First Semester Examination!

Two down, one to go! I am in the middle of studying statistics, but then I decided to just blog all my blog drafts because it has piled so much! I'm listening to spotify too and it's almost 6 in the morning. I couldn't believe that I survived till the morning. Yep, thanks to internet blogging and spottily.

I am currently in a depressed mood right now. The thought of failing keeps on rewinding in my mind! I am super worried! Babs and Chem! I have no idea how they would turn out on my results. Statistics is my last exam and my last chance to actually be able something that I feel confident in after test. However, there are 12 lectures in total and I have only finished half of it. grr.

Anyway, addicted to this song! There are other songs too though that I feel easy and stick to my brain.

I have got to sleep now! My head is about to explode!

Surveying the Racecourse

This is the continuation of the previous post.

So in the evening, Bunga, Della and me had to survey the place of our examination which is located in the racecourse! Could you believe it?! The RACECOURSE. Yep, the place where horses are being raced for competition. We had to take a look at the place to avoid being lost on the examination day.

We took the bus and apparently to our bad luck we stopped at a bus stop which was uber far away from the racecourse. We had to walk endless steps before reaching the place. It's like an exercise for me though.

Upon arriving at the location, it was practically empty. I took photos, duh? What would you expect.

the place where we'll be facing the finals

we had to pass this tunnel too.

super tourist much. it was plainly intentional. no harm done. LOL.

I am completely worried about exams right now! Wish me luck!!!! agrhhhh! After surveying, we went to stop by at the post office. And took a bus nearby there.
