The Hobbits

Today I went out to watch The Hobbits premiere with my sisters, Ci Lisda, Ko Ronald (my coaching teacher) and Ci Mei (his wife). It was my first time going out with my coaching teacher and his wife. Anyway, I'm so psyched to be watching The Hobbits ! I have been waiting for quite a long time, I know I have been patient for so long for this movie to be released. Although I have only read one-third of the The Hobbits parody called The Soddit, I have never attempted to buy and read the real novel myself. I think I might have glanced at it once at my school library, but then I went away reading another book.

The Soddit
So, as usual, went to EX/PI to watch movies. We went there as fast as we could before the ticket counter ran out of Hobbits tickets. I don't want that to happen! Technically, there were only 3 people before us lining up, but the first buyer took so long to buy tickets! I took a sneak peak at how much tickets they had bought, and you know what, they bought a total of Rp. 825k ! They had almost taken half of the theater seats! Fortunately they were buying the 19:30 pm tickets while we wanted the noon ticket which was at 1!

We got about half an hour to eat before entering the studio. Most restaurants were crowded then because workers were having their lunch breaks. Eventually, we went to Pancious and ate there. It took us half an hour to order, eat, talk, and pay the bill. We were in a hurry as we didn't want to be late for the premiere!

I ordered green tea, red bean waffle with vanilla ice cream on top. tasted so good!

We made it on time for the movie! Bought popcorns and we were ready to be amused by this epic movie!

As expected from The Unexpected Journey, the movie was amazing! I can watch it again and again! But at cinemas though. I don't like watching epic movies at home. I don't have the acquired technology to recreate the awesome sound effects like the theaters supply. It just won't be the same watching at home. Besides, I bet for sure that if I watched it at home, I would doze off quite a couple of times like Lord of The Rings.

Then, we said goodbye to Ko Ronald and Ci Mei, and headed straight to GI to stop by at Gramedia for new comics (if any and if they were good). We encountered this Korean-drama-made-into-an-Indonesian-comic. Heartstring... Why would Elex print this! --"

Minhyuk's parts! Look willdy!
What's a day-out without buying a bubble tea? That would be like a day without a sun. Okay, I'm not making sense here.

Took a photo before setting forth too.

looked so grumpy here. --"
Okay, we departed and we took a bus home. So crowded! Couldn't believe that we waited an hour for a bus! Not to mention after reaching home, I smelled so sticky and so smelly like abang2. EW! Imagining it just makes me sick.

Soul Surfer

In the afternoon, after helping my mom writing down test papers for her students (there are a lot of students having their exams tomorrow), Cim and I continued watching Soul Surfer on the net.

Soul Surfer, a tear-jerking film starring AnnaSophia Robb as Bethany, finding true meaning of life from an accident that had almost destroyed her surfing activity and other activities that require both arms. However, with motivation and during her mission time in Phuket, Thailand, she finally opened her eyes that the accident she had encountered was nothing compared to the Tsunami accident that occurred in Thailand. From then on, despite her almost giving up in surfing, she started to surf once more and entered herself in a surfing regional competition.

watch the trailer:

This is a Christian movie and it is so very ultimately sad! I cried most of the time watching this. Moreover, this is based on a true story too. God really works in mysterious ways. He is such an amazing God.

After watching this, my sister and I both went to help my mom helping students to prepare their examination tomorrow. I am really hoping that the students I taught are able to do well tomorrow! God bless them!

ps: In case you didn't notice, Annasophia Robb played as Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and The Chocolate Factory

Hello Sir

Today, I came across my WMU computer teacher, Sir Josep, in the bus! It was really surprising to see him in Indonesia. I thought he was still in Aussie. LOL. It appears that he doesn't work at WMU anymore. He's now working himself at Gajamada. We chatted for a while in the bus! HAHAH.. Really fancy meeting him there.

Coriolanus

After the lab, we went to Plaza Indonesia to watch The Premiere . I was really hoping that The Bourne Legacy will show up in the studio but unfortunately it wasn't. There was Coriolanus instead. I'm going to talk about this movie later on.

The girls (the total girls in my class S1 are only 3 including me, pretty lonesome..nah, just kidding. HAHA) went to PI with me using my dad's driver from the factory. We talked a lot! Gossiping. HAHA. The long journey which is usually tiring turned out to be very fun due to us chitter-chattering. The other guys went to grab a pizza first after physics lab.

As soon as we have arrived to PI, we directly headed to EX to purchase the tickets. LOL. After that we went to eat at Maru-tama Ramen which is just across XXI.

Citra and Sharon

marutama Ramen. Tasted really good.

we ordered the same menu

Citra's and my karage. oily but it was okay, I guess. Still prefer the ramen though.
not to mention there were only 2 slices of PORK! So stingy!
Apparently, the guys haven't arrived to PI. But then out of nowhere, they came. Took a photo. Nicholas is missing as he is still on vacation to America! How awesome is that.

From that restaurant, we went shopping for Citra's friend's gift. We were finding, wait, only Citra was searching for Marc Jacobs, I was just tagging along. I don't usually shop at clothes in the mall. Really expensive. Let me tell you that all the clothes available inside the stores we passed by range from Rp. 1M and above. I was utterly shocked man.

at the premiere.
Now we have come to the part of which I'm going to tell the plot of Coriolanus. So, this movie was depicted from William Shakespeare's play. However, it was located in 21st Century Rome. In addition to this, what really bugs me most was that all the characters talk in old-fashioned English. It was really hard to understand! Not to mention that I immediately started reminiscing Mrs Esther's lectures on Julius Caesar when I was in the 9th and 10th grade. Seriously! It was actually similar to Julius Caesar. There were angry mobs, senators, Rome (of course), loving wife, betrayal, and most importantly, the main character of the story died; Coriolanus died in the movie. The movie lasted for 2 hours. I was incredibly bored. My friends were bored too. Some of them fell asleep. HAHA.

Anyway, I really had a fun time today. I had no idea that I would know them a little better after this day out.

Ko Ronald's Wedding (17.6.12)

I know I should have blogged this sooner, but I was having problems with blogger, I have no idea why. I could not upload pictures in bulk. urgh. Anyway, last Sunday, my coaching teacher has finally tied the knot with his girlfriend! Congratulations to him and his wedded bride! I'm so happy for both of them.

Last Sunday, I also played the piano for the Sunday school students, and after playing the piano, these children were shown a video about Biblical characters named " Ananias and Sapphira". watch the video! It was retold in a grim-mer way. Kinda reminds of Tim Burton works!

Later on, I went to Korem (Komisi Remaja) in which I listened to a sermon. But before the sermon began and way before the worshiping began, we were shown a video. I love this song!

In the afternoon, at about 1, my parents, Vivi, and I went to Ko Ronald's wedding matrimony. We could not attend the wedding reception hence I we only came for the matrimony.

the invitation
But by the time we arrived there, we were half an hour late and the matrimony was about to finish. We arrived there while my coaching teacher was giving his oath in front of the priest and his parents and family.

I sat next to a woman who was sobbing really badly. She turned out to be my coaching teacher's aunt. LOL. She was a little bit confused why I sat next to her. I am a stranger to her. Of course. --"

apologizing to his parents

I forgot to take a picture of the bride's parents because most of the time I was blocked by the camera person and the photographer. I did not get the front view picture too which sucks. --"

Anyway, congratulations again to the newly-weds!
