The year of The Water Dragon (2012)

As always, the night before the Chinese New Year, we would always gather at my cekong's house for dinner. An embarrassing moment happened there. I was told to play piano right so that all my cousins could sing along. But unfortunately, Im still unable to play a song for accompaniment. Moreover, I didnt have the piano sheet for it. Nor did I know the song very well. Not to mention the MC wanted to transpose the song to a B- flat key. This was very hard for me to do it there immediately. yeah, I was embarrassed. The first reason why I was stuck in that position was that I think someone boasted about my piano skill which was still very low. I could only read sheets and improvise based on the sheets! urghhh...

Anyway moving on, we ate there.. And another bad thing happened, when I was eating an ice cream cake, I bit my tongue. And it still hurt till now.

First destination was the Green Garden, my emak's house.

There we ate lunch.

Lunch on chinese new year usually consists of longivity noodles or chinese food. But instead we ordered something Italian, PIZZA!

Emak's Birthday (21.01.2012)

On the 21st of January, my family and I went to celebrate my grandma's birthday in Green Garden. She celebrated it in her church. Well, my sisters and I prepared a poem for her. I browsed the poem actually. But, I made the Chinese poem myself because it was really hard browsing for a chinese poem. The Chinese Poems I found on the net were all old poems. I mean really really old. ANCIENT! However, despite my originality and my lack of mandarin skill the poem turned out pretty decent. Before showing it, I showed it to my mandarin teacher first. WHOAH. She said it was OKAY. yay me.. LOL

Credits to the internet for the english poem.. Pure copy paste was done during the whole process. The Indonesian one was also copy and pasted but my cousin changed it. --" ..What is the whole point then for me being in charge for all the poems to be presented in front of our grandmother.

All three poems were read by Daniel (my cousin, he read the indonesian one), Helen (my sister, she read the chinese one) and Michelle (also my sister, she read the english one) while I accompanied her with the piano. I was also in charge of accompanying the presentation with an instrumental of the Bunda song. But, my cousin chose another girl to play for it. This sucks. Luckily, I didnt prepare all my might for the song, or else I would be so pissed.

First of all, we sang songs, praising our Lord, Jesus Christ. Then it was time for the presentation. hmm.. honestly, the presentation was a bit incomplete. ckck,, less photos and all. anyway, the output was not bad. it was a bit amusing. but still, sth was missing.

Anyway, Joanne (my cousin) also sang for my grandmother. I forgot the song she sang.

After the song, Helen came in front with the poem ..

Then Michelle with her poem .

I was at the back playing the clavinova. The poem was too short for the song, and so when my sister had almost finished with the poem, I quickly slowed down my playing and ended it.

After the grandkids present some things for her, there was the sermon from the priest, Esther.

Then after the semon, my grandmother started to tell us about her experience and all her struggles.

After her speech, all her children and son/daughter in laws gathered up in front to celebrate her birthday. We all sang the happy birthday song of course.

Time to blow out the candles.

And amost time to pray for dinner.

then, time to eat! hmm...

there was this tomato stew.. urgh.. dont get me started, it was horrible..

i thought it was good but.. nu uh, not at all good.

Trip to buy Emak's birthday present

So, I went with my elder sister to Grand Indonesia's Gramedia to buy my grandma the third edition crossword puzzle for her 79th birthday.

I went window shopping too. LOL.

btw look at the decoration for Chinese New Year just outside the east and west mall of Grand Indonesia!

AWESOME!

There are a lot of people taking photos there.

I also saw a celebrity of whose name I dont know.

But Im sure she played in the Trans Movie titled Jamu Cap Jempol.

She is prettier in person than on TV. *seriously*

I look weird. LOL.

where was i looking again? Oh yeah, the guy who was looking at me! urgh.. Cant a girl take her own photos in a public place like this.

After taking photos, went to Gramedia and bought the book. I did not take a photo of it. I did not even got the slightest idea of taking a photo of it. LOL. :PPPPP

After the bookstore, went to dairy queen. !

bought a new flavor blizzard, strawberry cheesecake.

It was okay.

I still like the mint oreo blizzard best!

After dairy queen, we headed to PI for a honeybread promo from 3 to 5!

It was tiring walking around.

We had to cross from grand indonesia to Plaza indonesia and then to EX.

Visit to Universal (Wednesday 15.1.2012

I went to Univ with Clarein and Sherren.

Sherren drove us there.

An awkward moment meeting with the principal.

She does not even remember me leaving the school..

In fact, Im pretty sure she does not remember me AT ALL!

urgh, so sad.

Anyway, before coming face to face with the principal, we went to the badminton court to meet our old buddies. LOL

They were drenched in sweat after exercising..

ah, I kinda miss hanging out in the badminton court with sweat dripping off my face.

Met willdy and sheila!! AA, it has been a while..

They gave me these nail polish!

LOL..

The colors are sweet!

I dont have these colours yet..

I used to have the yellow one but it has dried. PHEW, it was a lucky call.

BTW, thank you again WILLDY AND SHEILA!

the ribbon on the birthday card is too cute to be true. :)))))

Soon we departed because I went home with my sisters. If i dont hurry up, they would have left w/o me.

Oh yeah, I met Felix too. He has not changed a bit. Well, his voice changed. The rest, pretty much the same.

Saw Adrian, Demmas, Anderson, and Dennis, but didnt say hello. They were busy..

Adrian n Dennis were busy playing basketball.

While, Demmas n Anderson straightaway headed to the floor above the floor I was on.

Overall, visiting Universal was both exciting and depressing for me.

The teachers did not remember me at all. The teachers I met (A.J), did not remember me.

But still, Ive got to meet my friends! LOL..

And the meeting friends part was the most important part of visiting Universal.

16.1.2012

~Monday morning rain is falling..~

ey whoah whoah wait just a second, that song was about Sunday Morning not Monday..

by the by, the rain did not fall this morning.

anyway, as usual, every monday, Im late to school about 10 minutes.

Fortunately, the first period's teacher is very very very kind. LOL

As soon as Ive reached school, I saw my friends still busy working on their Smallpox Vs Hiv essay..

Then someone told me that the teacher was checking whether we had plagiarize or not.

This was really shocking

no wonder my friends were all rushing inside the computer lab to get their works done with free-plagiarism.

I am sure I have plagiarized some terms and phrases. But some of them I have put quotation marks. LOL.

Oh yeah, I was a little bit proud of myself that I had written about 454 words out of 350! LOLOL.. usually I would exceed BEYOOONNNDD the borderline..like for instance, maybe I could reach a thousand words. LOL.

so 454 is still good for me., :)

During class, Danel asked me whether i could write ho:)am in BBM chat without getting the o and the :) becoming an angel emoticon.

This was really tricky and frustrating..

I still havent figured out how to do it TILL NOW! urghh

Meanwhile, in math, we learnt something new: Combinations and Permutations.

This was very confusing..

at first i felt it was pretty simple just applying formulas butttt the questions are damn tricky!!!

The only way to master this chapter is just by practicing lots and lots of exercises!

GO ME~!

At lunch break, went to eat in the canteen. I talked to Stella who is an ex-student of Uniprep about UNIPREP!

i hope i can manage to get good marks there!

After lunch went to the computer lab, but it seems that there was some toefl test that was going to be held there. And so we went to the library instead.

I decided to borrow the Mac computer..

I have never used Mac before!!

I could not even turn on the computer and so I asked Pak Mur (the librarian, in charge of the books and gadgets present in the library) to turn it on!

It was really embarrassing! He called me gaptek! HAHA .. which is fine by me.. because I kinda suck at using technologies and the latest gadgets without asking someone to mentor me first.

With the mac i borrowed, my friends and I went photoboothing!
