Japan Recognition

Today Cim and I had to go to the city to get a Japanese Visa. We got the requirements document packed in our bags before we went there. We have never been there before and we were going around in circles with a gps in hand, and the building that we were looking for was right there all along right before our noses. And at 3, our documents were checked. Guess what, our photos were not qualified enough and were rejected. Not to mention, we printed the wrong period of time of transactions. We still got an hour before the Japanese Consulate closes (at four sharp). About to lose hope, we took the bus home, but then an idea popped up, we should just find the nearest post office and print out the transactions at the bank.

Printing the transactions should be fast but we were so conscious about printing the wrong section. We were waiting for assistance despite the fact that we could do it by ourselves. When that's done, we scurried to the nearest post office but we saw a nearby pharmacy and it could print out passport photos. Without more hesitation, we entered and asked if we could print out a 4.5cm by 4.5cm passport photo. The nice lady said yes but we had to wait a bit longer as she was assisting another man. It really bugged me out waiting. I tried to be as calm as possible. Cim was on the phone trying to persuade the office if we could hand in the documents a bit later. But she was rejected.

Anyway at about 25minutes to 4, we finished everything and we quickly catch a bus and at 5 minutes to 4 we made it. We were burning hot and sweating like a pig. Our efforts were not in vain. It got accepted and we were praying for the visa to finish on time, latest by Friday as we need our passports on Monday because we're leaving back to Indonesia. (They're closed on weekends).

Afterwards, we took a stroll around the city and even visited QVB and the Galleries. This day was exhausting for both of us.
