Celebrating Indonesia's annual emancipation day, GFI (
Gereja Fokus Indonesia) prepared a fantastic out-in-the-sun picnic hangout! It was a great day outside. It was HOT outside. Probably we are currently in the middle of transitioning from winter to spring.
What's special about today's picnic was that we got to spend a day in the sun! It's been a while from not standing under direct uv-rays, being wet from the sweat as fat globules are being burned. Let's hope it's fats not just water or glucose.
Each bible study group is given a task to bring one Indonesian dish extremely excluding
Indomie. The
BasoGila group brought martabak and satay! Kristel brought the martabak and Sherly made satay! Both were delicious.

First activity of the picnic was dividing the Indonesians to teams!

Group 1 |
At first, we all should line up. The first person of the team had to open up their mouth and the second person had to throw a nut into the first person's mouth before they could proceed running with their sacks to a checkpoint.

Spoiler alert! GROUP 1 WON! WOOHOO!
After triumphing (snob much?), it's time for lunch!

After lunch, there was another game!
The superlative game! A game in which a candidate has to take part as a representative from each team to be competed with the others based on the random shuffle of a superlative. Like for instance, the longest foot. We would compare our feet to look our for a winner.

this one was about the longest time in which they could raise their leg |

It was the end of the event and we dispersed ourselves to our respective homes.
In the evening, Bunga, Della, Earl, Grace, Diana, Cim, Gerald, Nichole, Santa, Kathleen, Ci Karlina and I prepared a surprise for Raymond. We all waited in a building in uni for Earl to bring Raymond out.
Everything went out smoothly despite some unexpected moments including the breakage of a candle. All went well :)
